Nashville Parks & Recreation / Creative Project Management
-
During my time with Greenways for Nashville, a non-profit organization supporting Nashville's greenways initiative, I worked alongside Nashville Parks and Recreation to produce Nashville’s 2019 Greenways Map.
-
The goal for the project was to update the Nashville’s Greenways Map with a refreshed design that focused on usability, accessibility, and promoting Nashville’s greenway system. The project took place between October 2018-June 2019 and was led by myself, Elisabeth McClain, and Greenways for Nashville in partnership with Metro Nashville Parks and Recreation.
-
Using community feedback the Nashville’s Greenways Map was updated based upon:
Usability: Map content was created to reflect new trails and greenways, improve map “Key” and way-finding, update trail descriptions and locations, promote the CityCentral Greenway System, and improve overall usability.
Design: We contracted the team at Delevante Creative to work with Greenways for Nashville on updating map design, color theme, and brand recognition.
Cartography: Informing Design Inc. was contracted to update map cartography including greenways, trailheads, roadways, waterways, buildings/structures, as well as highlighting the CityCentral Greenway System.
-
The final product included printing 20,000 copies of the Nashville’s Greenways Map in addition to updating the NashGR Map App.
